Nearly two decades of experience and a millennium later I've put pen to paper and log my career. It started in 1988 with the completion of a pre degree in Art & Design wishing to enter the world of Film. I qualified as a City & Guilds hairdresser to then complete two years at The London College of Fashion, studying Film Television and special effects make-up. This was combined with two years Historical studies and period hair work with Lou Joyce and teams from the then Wig Specialities and Wig Creations, now owned by Angels. 1990 saw the beginning of my first steps into television and unexpectedly into authorship as my first children's fantasy make-up book was published, one of six to follow. 1998 I welcomed my first Designers position on Niall Johnson's 'The Big Swap' and 'Driven' followed closely by The Western Lights drama series and a five year freelance contract on BBC flagship medical drama 'Casualty. From the beginning of 2008 I worked in Budapest filming BBC's ever popular Robin Hood for a six month period. My career has been varied and colourful with a diversity of jobs skills people and experiences the very reason I was drawn to the industry in the first place. Please enjoy a small glimpse into my time within it. |
